Casa Cantil was created in 2006 as a labor of love by a Mexican architect and her American husband. The 6000-square foot villa has been designed to bring people together, with cozy niches for relaxing and talking, a spacious formal dining area, and a terrace dining space (candlelit, under a pergola) that feels intimate even for large groups. The villa is expertly staffed, with daily housekeeping and turn-down service, Mexican breakfasts, and gourmet comidas. There are many fine hotels and villas in Valle de Bravo but nothing compares to Casa Cantil’s standards of luxury, design, privacy, or service.
Before we acquired the property, this spot was the town’s unofficial lookout point and many locals consider this the finest view in the area. Cantil means cliff and the property feels like a front-row mezzanine seat in a theater, with a 210-degree view of the town, lake, and mountains. All the rooms have views and there are cozy sitting areas where you can relax while the din of church bells, fireworks, and music rise up from the town.
Although Valle offers plenty of reasons to venture out, our guests rarely do. They just relax, enjoy the view, eat well, and get spoiled by our gracious staff.
